I know I'm not the only one who thinks PBA's American Free Enterprise Day is stupid because it's just "celebrate rich people day". For one, a whole day recognizing, congratulating, and basically worshiping rich people is utterly unbiblical. Matthew 6:3 makes that pretty clear..."But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing." We don't need to give an award to someone because they gave a bunch of money to the school! they already have a freaking building named after them!
This leads me to my second irritation. Besides the Newman club chapel, which is normally once a month anyway, AFE is the only day you actually get chapel credit for going. This wouldn't be so bad if it WERE the only chapel, but, holy crap! Veteran's Day was this week! wow! we had a special veterans day chapel, but do we get chapel credit for it? no. why? who can say? again, I really don't care that they didn't offer credit, I'm just confused why we get credit for something like AFE and not a Vet's day.
Well, I'm through ranting now. I feel better.
